The GLBS is medium voltage gas insulated lateral load break switch designed for rated voltages from 7.2kV to 24kV and rated currents of 630A.
Mounted within a switchboard enclosure (e.g. LCA-G) the GLBS is suitable for indoor or outdoor applications of the switchboard.
The GLBS consists of a three position rotary switch mechanism mounted and sealed within an epoxy resin gas tank charged with SF 6 gas for insulation and arc quenching. The design of the epoxy resin gas tank ensures that creepage distances are at 480 mm or more.
The spring charged driving mechanism is located at the front of the GLBS for ease of access during service.
The GLBS is designed for normal operating conditions and is type tested in compliance with IEC 60129, IEC 60265 and IEC 60420.
