Our medium voltage distribution surge arrester are very reliable high
quality protection devices available in two types INZP (polymeric
housing) and INZ (porcelain housing) for maximum continuous operating
voltages from 3 to 42kV and a nominal discharge current of 10 kA.
They are used in indoor or outdoor overhead applications to protect
MV networks, distribution transformers, motors and cables against
both atmospheric and switching overvoltages.
The gapless design incorporates highly non-linear metal
oxide (ZnO) varistors elements which are designed and
manufactured completely in-house.
The INZP is a distribution
surge arrester with low profile non-ageing polymeric
housing to eliminate the problem of chipped or cracked
porcelain that can occur through rough handling or shipping.
The high quality of the polymeric housing has been verified
by a 5000 hours climatic ageing test in accordance with
IEC61109 annex C.
The INZ type
arrester is a heavy duty distribution class surge arrester.
The porcelain housing reduces the overall length without
sacrificing strike and leakage distances.
Our surge arrester are tested in accordance with the
latest standard ANSI/ IEEE C62.11-1993 for metal oxide
arresters as well as in accordance with IEC 60099-4 for
line discharge class 2.
